Well I declared it yesterday. Fess Up Friday, a little theme for Fridays to keep me blogging away. The only problem is, I only thought of it yesterday, when I was working at a very quiet and wet mini golf(the two go hand in hand). I’ve had less than a day thinking time on this one. I’m not sure how personal the ‘fess-ups’ should be, how serious, how amusing, how embarrassing.
So, fess up number one…. I admit I haven’t put much thought into ‘Fess up Friday’. Jump in without thinking? Yeah, maybe that’s me.
Enjoy your weekend!! I plan to.
ps. WHY didn’t I participate in ‘my creative space’ yesterday? Because I’m a scatter brain!
pps. I just deleted about 5 extra posts identical to this one. I have a feeling they will still show up in your reader. Erm. Sorry! I did admit to being a scatterbrain

Again, apologies for my lack of blogging… but just think, in a couple of months this blog is going to get EXCITING! If you’ve somehow forgotten, our little family is heading off on a big adventure! Yep, come April we’ll finally begin our journey up the East coast of Australia. I for one, can’t wait.
I feel like I’ve had my head in the clouds these last few months, or rather clouds in my head, a sleepiness I just can’t shake. This week has been better, although now I’m having trouble sleeping. I’m crocheting my little heart out to finish a shawl for a very nice friend. I’m using the crochet as a meditation, it helps quieten my mind. So what was I doing at 1am? Yep, up on the couch crocheting. I couldn’t sleep.
Now look at this big boy. He really has grown up so much lately. His proudest achievement is having the training wheels taken off his bike, and he tells ANYONE who will listen.

Right now he is waiting patiently to make a birthday cake for ‘Pa’ ~ my Dad. We’re doing a blackforest cake. Yum!

Is what I’ve been hearing NON-stop for days. Now the little one has started…
Anyway, we’ve mostly moved. There is still stuff to collect (like most of my clothes), a garage sale (or “garbage sale” ~zoe) to have tomorrow, a big house to clean and a craft space to organise here. Actually there is alot more, but it would be totally boring and self important to write it all here right? Oh, you mean this IS boring. Sorry.
OK, the WINNER of the little skirt is KATE! thank you for your comments Tas & Vic…yep, I think we NEED more hairclips from Helen

but it just doesn’t seem to happen! Perhaps that is because I need to make it happen. Sigh. Its been one of those days. A favourite things broken, head spinning, naughty children, cross Mr kind of day. Amongst the mayhem I purchased a cool crochet pattern on etsy… nope, not a christmas deco type thing. A JELLYFISH. I have no idea when I’m going to get to make him, but I’m sure I’ll squeeze it in. As I do.

Click on the photo to see the pattern.
I hope you’ve floated along a little easier than me today… xox

Whoops! I’ve been a little bit under the weather, and busy buying a new caravan… oh yes!! So I apologise for missing yesterday, and for this poor excuse for a post.
I’m right now writing up a tutorial for an apron you’ll love. All of a sudden I have tutorial ideas flying around my head, so there could be more to come.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

You know it can be really easy to complete an itty bitty craft project. I know, because I made a brooch today, and its likely that I’ll make more tonight! Its little things like this that keep me sane(ish). The recipe to make this brooch appeared in Mixtape #7, and was contributed by Jacquie from Yumstietree. Mine doesn’t look as good as Jacquie’s ones, but I’ll try again!

And this pic was taken exactly one year ago. I can’t remember taking it but I love it. I love the challenging look Tate is giving me and the fact that he is holding a huge carrot. I also love the fact that we are out of that house, and away from the nasty pollen trees that caused Tatie’s undereye shadows…

and look at those tiny blue shoes!!! xoxo

Yep, I’m still living in the land of no web access. Having a lovely time though! We went ‘up north’ for 2 weeks and I wanted to stay forever.

I’ve been bitten by the sewing bug again, the STRETCH sewing bug, no less. How rewarding it was to create a dress for me in 2 hours with $1 worth of fabric!! (it was very cheap fabric, not a very tiny dress). My inspiration and confidence came from the book ‘Sew-U Stretch’. I love this book, totally worth it!
In other news, my baby girl has turned two. She brings sunshine to my life every single day, she is full of hugs and kisses and is downright adorable. We’re having a little party for her on Sunday, she has requested a lion cake and lolly snakes, so the party will have a slight jungle theme. Hopefully I’ll be back soon with photos of an awesome novelty cake!
Have a lovely weekend.
