About Us

Hey There :)

Here I am.  All of me lol ... I'm a girl who spend the last 30 odd years trying to figure out which crafty thing I liked the best.  Well shocker!!  I couldn't choose one...so I have like 70.

People think I'm nuts, but my favourite question is where do you find the time??  I simply say "when you enjoy things you find the time."  And finish with "I'm excellent with time management, (insert big smile) its like an assembly line in my house"  which I cannot lie, Is the truth lol 80 things at once.  I find as I age it gets worse - see crafting is like a drug, when you make something you love and others love in return nothing can beat that feeling :)

So I have set up a new site (switched over from my old one) which includes more of my stuff - will direct you to my etsy site and hopefully make you smile here and there :)

Who We Are

I am extremely proud to say that I learned from the best...my Mother and Nanny were and are outstanding seamstresses.  Talents I think everyone person should have, or at least try to have haha!

For as long as I can remember I've been up to my eyeballs in sewing and polar fleece from my Mom - when I was young I would "whip up" a skirt or pant suit to go out in (yes I'm a fan of dress pants lol)

Then I started making baby quilts because they were fun to make with such great patterns and they were a big hit!  I did lots of craft shows and spent long hours sewing and sewing before these shows.  Adding newer things each year until you see what you see on here :)

I went through a faze of buying old furniture and storing full dining sets in my mothers basement (she loved that) totally set up and flipping them for a bit of coin - I then decided that it was time to add a little flare and jumped on the band wagon of refinishing some of it.

I've always loved old things, My first house was full of flea market finds, when crates weren't cool yet but my favourite is an old pair of wooden skies my dad and step mom picked up in a different city, no less; from my home town that hang in my hallway - LOVE THEM.

I bought my first embroidery machine at a steal from one of my mothers friends and why not??  who doesn't need 4 machines??  like seriously.  who doesn't.  After this I found vinyl....oh dear...I got this machine as a Christmas gift which of course I used early and haven't looked back.  This thing is an electronical god.  I am still blown away every day at the things I can do with this.  I excitedly run to my husband every time as if he will be just as amazed as I - but he plays along in the excitement haha :)

My first project was Christmas ornaments...I bought 5 to see how they would sell, and 300 later in a month I was going nuts with orders!  I then added personalized birth stat bunnies which were a hit and now adding a line of embroidered stuffed animals which are too cute to bare and here we are :)

My husband and I are both gov't shift workers so I think it is so important to have a creative outlet - I have this (obviously) and I also have a cake obsession....my sweet husband is in the middle of building me a certified kitchen in our basement so I can branch out and get more serious :) We are starting a beard oil line as my husband is a prime spokes person with this monstrosity on his face but handsome as ever :)

Our house is full...like FULL.  We are the proud parents of one sweet little angel and how she changed us is something I could never explain - so much love and such a perfect addition to our lives it was almost surreal how much love you can feel for these little pumpkins.  She makes us laugh, she's cheeky, smart and quick.  Man, no tricking this little detective and I want to spend every minute with her :)  We have 2 dogs, sadly last Christmas, I had to put down my handsome boy of 14 years which broke not only my heart but also our other pup who was his buddy for 7 of those.  She was so sad and you can only play so much with our cat lol - believe it.  Cats don't want to wrestle.  I know - weird.  So a year later we found her a little buddy and so far so good :)  Been a long time since a pup in the house but teaching my daughter to pick up her toys!!  perfect plan...

We have a rag doll cat who is getting up there too now that I think about it has to be 8 or 9...he is beautiful.  He should be a super model for cats...and loves hugs - loudest purr you've ever heard and drools when you pet him before bed lol pretty funny actually!

We also have a 23 year old turtle whom we rescued from my inlaws basement who now resides in our study swimming away or sunning himself.

That pretty much wraps us up!

So thanks for stopping by and having a little look - and hopefully a little inspiration :)
