My Creative Space ~ Dollhouses

November5

I realised it was ‘creative space’ day when I had begun creating the Tiny Travelling Dollhouses. I’ve been wanting to make these for ages, and finally went out and bought matches and a hot glue gun. I now have lots of unhoused matches, but 4 little fairy houses. I’ve been pretty sick this week. I was in denial at first but today it caught up with me. I took it easy having a nap (!) and sitting quietly making these while the kids spent time with their grand-folks (thank goodness!!).

I just used what I had on hand, and didn’t feel like searching TOO hard through the mess sewing room for more felt. They aren’t amazing and perfect but they are for little kids who dont look too closely :)

One each for my cherubs and one each for my little nieces, here are the back-sides.

I think these little doll houses would be really sweet little stocking stuffers.

I bought this not-so-tiny doll house at a white elephant stall/school fete on Sunday. I have grand plans of doing a design*sponge/jazz up/pretty pretty on it and giving it to the kids for Christmas. I’ll let you know how that goes! We have a brilliant wooden toy shop near here that I can’t wait to visit and check out their dolls. Maybe tomorrow if I’ve stopped coughing.

I knew I was really sick when I agreed to buy this for Tate yesterday….although it DID taste like fairy floss, he hadn’t even finished it before the tanty started… and yes, he was still wearing that long sleeve red shirt today.

To see who else is playing along with my creative space this week, go and see Kootoyoo!

What gorgeous little fairy houses, the poppets will adore them! Hope you get well soon, the bugs this year have been nasty.
