Day 4 ~ Caravans & Honeyjoys
Gee, what a boring title. I guess you can’t expect gold when you’re posting everyday, but Caravans & Honeyjoys? Well that’s about what we did today. We went looking at lots of caravans, which was more fun than one might think, and the kids loved running about looking in them all. There aren’t many vans with bunks, because it seems not many families caravan these days, I like to imagine them all tenting.
Although my heart flutters when I see an image like this…

We’ll probably be buying something that looks more like this… which is the caravan we stupidly SOLD!

So my head is filled with caravan interiors, which are by and large very bland. There is talk of modifications which make me happy, it can’t be too hard to re-upholster a van can it? The bunting I can definitely do!
So after the caravan hunting we came home and made honeyjoys! There are some benefits to buying a huge box of cornflakes. 4 Cups of Cornflakes, 1/3 Cup Sugar, 1 TBSP Honey and 90g butter is all you need
Tate even did a wonderful job spooning them into patty pans, a VERY different result to runny cupcake batter. Sorry, I forgot to take a pic, and now they are pretty well gone. We are going to plant some strawberries tomorrow, and bake my first ever loaf of bread, can you believe it??… I shall report back.

xoxo

Oh. My. God. You SOLD that?!
I’m not going to make you feel any worse than you already must. But I could.
You live in (or near) Geelong?! You have gotten me all excited now m’lady… I’m in Colac…! Unfortunately I don’t drive right now (I’m learning mind - just now getting the hang of 3 point turns lol…. that’ll learn me for living in the city where a car is more of a hinderance than a help) but we do head in for sushi quite regularly…
ANYWAY, email me if you like victoriamaher(at)rocketmail(dot)com
I see from your links that you are probably a nappycino mamma? I never got far into that forum (and we’ve lapsed in the cloth department… now it’s your turn to make me feel bad lol) but I know a couple of the girls from another forum, Crafty Mamas - have you been there yet?
Right… I do believe this is the longest comment you’ll have ever received so I’m off!
Ah… had to poke around once I came to check out that soaker! I went caravan looking on the weekend too - I’m a sucker for vintage vans!! I went to a rally up behind Pakenham, and there were some gorgeous ones.
On the caravan thing - I have seen some modern ones on eBay recently..although you’ve probably already thought of that…
